Born in Southport, Queensland, on 17 February 2006, Poulis found artistic swimming at a local council pool. The Australian Olympic Committee records that she swam her first solo routine at an Australian Championship at age seven. At 12, she won Australian Championship titles in both the under-12 and under-13–15 groups, establishing an early age-group record without implying that her later Olympic pathway was solely a club product.
At 13, Poulis was selected for Australia’s National Youth Team and competed at the 2019 Youth World Championships in Slovakia in duet and team events, as well as representing Australia as a soloist. World Aquatics records her 2019 youth-world personal-best marks in solo, solo figures, team and team free combination. A 2022 Neos Kosmos profile also reports earlier medals at competitions in New Zealand and Singapore, although it does not provide enough event detail for those results to be itemised here.
Her senior transition included the 2022 FINA World Championships in Budapest, where she competed in the solo event and encountered Greek Olympian Evangelia Platanioti, whom she had admired. The same published interview says Poulis achieved the highest results at her first senior trials, was selected for the Australian national team, and moved from the Gold Coast to Perth for live trials and then centralised preparation at the West Australian Institute of Sport. The AOC profile identifies Aquinas College as her high school.
At the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Poulis was part of Australia’s Team Free that improved from 11th in the preliminaries to eighth in the final with 221.6416 points, a top-10 finish that qualified Australia for Paris. The AOC profile says the Australian team again achieved a top-10 finish at the 2024 world championships in Doha. At the April 2024 World Cup in Beijing, she was on teams that won silver in technical and free and bronze in acrobatics; World Aquatics lists the team-acrobatic bronze and the Paris team score in its official results data.
Poulis made her Olympic debut in Paris 2024 as a member of Australia’s eight-athlete artistic swimming team. Australia placed ninth in the open team event on 728.4358 points; the team’s technical, free and acrobatic routines scored 235.9071, 280.5521 and 211.9766 respectively. This was a competed Olympic appearance, not a reserve-only selection. Beyond competition, the AOC describes her underwater dance videos as a separate creative practice from artistic swimming; the videos attracted a large social-media audience, and a photograph of Poulis with teammate Pam Kurosawa by Jasmine Skye won the black-and-white category of the 2024 Underwater Photographer of the Year competition. Publicly opened sources reviewed here do not document a post-school career, tertiary studies or a complete list of hobbies.

Beyond the pool
The AOC presents Poulis’s underwater dance videos as a distinct creative activity rather than artistic swimming competition. It reports a large social-media following and notes that her image with teammate Pam Kurosawa, photographed by Jasmine Skye, won the black-and-white category at the 2024 Underwater Photographer of the Year competition. Her AOC-listed high school is Aquinas College; the opened sources do not establish tertiary study, a separate occupation or a comprehensive hobby list.

The AOC profile is the primary source and directly supports the Olympic edition, club fields, school, pathway, qualification narrative and Paris team scores. Olympedia independently confirms the exact birth date/place and Paris 2024 open-team ninth place. The AOC profile gives only place of birth, so the exact date is taken from Olympedia. The 2022 Neos Kosmos feature is useful for historical coaching and Perth relocation context but is a media interview rather than a federation record; its early New Zealand/Singapore medal references lack event-level detail. Artistic Swimming Australia’s opened roster is a current 2026 Centre of Excellence listing and supports the Gold Coast Mermaids association, but should not be back-projected to every stage of her development. No source reviewed documents a reserve/alternate Olympic role; Olympedia records her as competing in Paris. Later World Aquatics entries exist beyond Paris, but Olympic results are intentionally limited to the competed 2024 Olympic event. Studies, non-sport employment and a complete hobby list are not publicly established in the opened authoritative sources.
