Carolyn Rayna Buckle
Carolyn Rayna Buckle is a Singapore-born Australian artistic swimmer and two-time Olympian. After representing Singapore internationally, she competed for Australia in the team at Tokyo 2020 and in both team and duet at Paris 2024.

Georgia Courage-Gardiner is an Australian artistic swimmer from the Gold Coast Mermaids who competed at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where Australia's team placed ninth. She had previously travelled to the Tokyo Games as an alternate and reserve, but did not compete there.

Australian artistic swimmer Kiera Gazzard progressed from Sydney Emerald's under-12 program to the Gold Coast Mermaids and two Olympic teams. Her pathway includes a 2017 senior World Championships breakthrough, becoming Australia's first soloist at the 2018 Junior World Championships, recovering from a 2019 concussion, and major team and duet performances in the 2020 and 2024 Olympic cycles.

Ask us anythingDo I need artistic swimming experience?
Contact the club to discuss your age, swimming confidence and experience. The coaching team will recommend a suitable introduction and confirm swimming ability and safety requirements.
Is synchronised swimming the same as artistic swimming?
Yes. The sport formerly known as synchronised swimming is now called artistic swimming internationally. It combines swimming, dance, gymnastics, strength and musical expression.
Where does the club train?
The club is listed at Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, Southport. Confirm your training group’s venue and timetable with the club before visiting.
How do I pay club fees?
Direct debit through Ezidebit is the club’s only payment option. Registration with Artistic Swimming Queensland is handled separately on ASQ’s website. At Gold Coast Mermaids, Play On! vouchers apply to training fees only, not registration fees.
